I first became interested in learning the guqin in the summer of 2023, after looking for an eastern instrument to learn as a creative outlet and a method of self-refinement. I was drawn to guqin for its tranquil and introspective tone, as well as its versatility of expression. From portraying humanistic emotions and actions to the expansive and egoless sceneries of nature. I started learning at Well Art Space in Bangkok and continued my studies at West Lake Guqin Society (Zhejiang School of Guqin) in Hangzhou. I am particularly fond of pieces with dynamic emotions and strong melodies, especially those with imagery of water and natural sceneries.
