Teresa Carrasco (born 1980, Oviedo, Spain) studied piano, music theory and music education in Oviedo prior to obtaining a Master's degree in Digital Arts from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. From 2005 to 2007, she was awarded a DAAD scholarship for postgraduate studies in Media Art at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe in Germany. She subsequently pursued advanced studies in composition at the Basel Music Academy with Erik Oña, Georg Friedrich Haas, and Jakob Ullmann in Switzerland. In 2015, she successfully completed her doctorate in composition under the supervision of Professor Jonty Harrison at the University of Birmingham UK. Since 2018, she has held the positions of Professor and Head of the Sound Arts Department at Bern University of the Arts in Switzerland. Her pieces have been performed on an international level in a number of well-known institutions.
