Lim Jing Jie
Lim Jing Jie is a multi-genre singer, songwriter and producer from Singapore. Having trained as a western classical vocalist since the age of 13, he has sung in various operas, recitals and musicals across different countries, and later began writing and producing music of the synthpop and synthwave genres under the moniker KEAT, pushing and exploring the boundaries of his distinctive musical identities. Some of his more notable performing credits include Esplanade’s All Things New 2020, Baybeats Open Stage 2019, ‘Gluttony’ in Fix(,) The Musical (2018) as well as ‘Polypheme’ in Handel’s Acis & Galatea (2017). He was a mentee on the Noise Music Mentorship Programme in 2020 under prolific DJ and producer, Kaye, and released his debut EP, I WAS DUMB BUT NOW IM WOKE on all streaming platforms later that year with the generous help of the Steven Baxter Memorial Scholarship Fund.
A recipient of the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal Award, Jing Jie graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Voice in 2020 and is currently a teaching assistant in professional integration and development at the Conservatory.
