Dneya B. Udtaisuk

Dr. Dneya B. Udtaisuk is currently a Chair of the Doctoral Program in Music Education, Division of Music Education, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. She completed her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Music Education at the University of Missouri, Columbia, USA. She serves as an assistant professor teaching undergraduate and graduate courses including Movements in Music, Innovation in Music Education, Issues and Trends in Music Education, Research in Music Education. She supervised theses and dissertation in the topics such as multicultural music teaching, musicians’ well-being, and positive psychology. Her research interests include teacher training, music learning and teaching, collaborative learning, and problem-based learning. 


Her passion in the area of incorporating movement into music learning and teaching, inspired by Dalcroze philosophy, had shown in her sessions and workshops for learners of all ages hosted by both governmental and non-profit organizations.  She has served the music education community of Thailand as a chair for the National Conference in Music Education (NCME), co-hosting the bi-annual conference with six universities in Thailand in which music education programs are offered. Her principal purpose was to unify novice and experienced music teachers, all of whom share a common passion for the value and spirit of music teaching.
