Assistant Professor Dr. Khajornsak Nakpan

Assistant Professor Dr. Khajornsak Nakpan

Khajornsak Nakpan's practice bridges textile innovation, sustainable fashion, and contemporary adornment through biomaterial research and cultural inquiry. Central to his work is the synthesis of bio-melanin from soil — merging ecological responsibility with ancestral knowledge — transformed into garments and adornments exploring ritual, impermanence, and Southeast Asian heritage.

His work has been presented internationally at Pratt Institute, Temple University, and exhibitions across Europe and Asia. Awards include Designer of the Year 2025 (Silpakorn University), Gold Medal at Thailand Research Expo 2021, the Iron A'Design Award (Italy), Grand Award at Romanian Jewelry Week, and the Arte Y Joya International Award (Spain).
