Dr. Apinporn Chaiwanichsiri

Dr. Apinporn Chaiwanichsiri is a music educator, researcher, and performer currently serving as a lecturer at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in Bangkok, where she also conducts the PGVIM Singers, an intergenerational community choir. She earned her Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Missouri (2024), M.Ed. in Music Education from Chulalongkorn University (2017), B.Mus. in Music Theatre from the Australian Institute of Music (2014), and B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry (First Class Honors) from Chulalongkorn University (2011). 


Her research focuses on culturally responsive teaching, musical theatre, and interdisciplinary approaches in music education. She has presented at national and international conferences, and her work has been published in the International Journal of Music Education and Update: Applications of Research in Music Education. As an educator, she is committed to making music accessible to all individuals, nurturing each student’s personal growth, cultural identity, and musicianship through a student-centered, culturally responsive approach.
