Adeline Wong Yi Mei

Adeline Wong is a Singapore-based Malaysian composer whose works span orchestral, chamber, theatre, and film music, performed by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Bang on a Can, Orkest de ereprijs, and Quatuor Bozzini. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Royal College of Music, London, she is Senior Lecturer in Composition at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, and President of the Malaysian Composers Collective. Recent engagements include invitations to the Asian Composers League Festivals in Japan (2025) and New Zealand (2022), the Francophonie Festival (2021), and service on the jury panel for the AMAT International Competition for Women in Italy (2021). She was the recipient of the 2023 International Double Reed Society Commissioning Grant and, in 2024, received a commission from Tonhalle Düsseldorf and Düsseldorfer Symphoniker. Her compositional and research practice centers on exploring repetition’s expressive potential within culturally layered musical structures.
