The university functions as both a centre for arts education and a cultural platform that connects students with the wider community. Art Space@SNU exemplifies this role by transforming the university campus into an artistic space leveraging on the creative capabilities of the university community, and encouraging people to rediscover the meaning of art in everyday life. In 2026-the event will mark its tenth anniversary with the theme "Boiled Art?!", which aims to explore the relationship between art and everyday experience through a range of diverse programs.

This presentation analyses the vision, organization, and achievements of Art Space@SNU, with The Triumph of the Egg serving as a representative case study.

Through this case study, the presentation demonstrates how Art Space@SNU supports student-initiated creation and collaboration while transforming the university campus into a space for artistic experimentation and interaction. It argues that university arts festivals can serve as educational platforms that enrich creativity, artistic collaboration, and meaningful artistic engagement within the university community. The presentation also suggests that such festivals have the potential to establish a distinctive brand identity.
