Guidelines
for
PGVIS 2023

Arrival Information

Airport Pickup:

 

When you finish collecting your luggage, please go to Gate No. 4 ( at level 2 - Arrival). At the gate, please look for our staff/ students who will be holding up a signboard with your name and PGVIM’s blue logo on it.

While you’re at the airport, you might want to organise a few things.

  • SIM card: Recommended network is AIS (Level 2, between Gate 6 and 7) and True (Level 2, Gate 5)

  • Currency Exchange: Available banks are Kasikorn and SCB Bank, both situated on the 2nd floor

Transportation:

 

  • Transportation between Scene Bangkok Noi Hotel & PGVIM

    • A free shuttle service will be provided daily between Scene Bangkok Noi Hotel and the PGVIM. You can check out the timetable at the reception desk.

    • As Hansa Bangkok House is within walking distance, there will be no daily transportation between Hansa Bangkok House & PGVIM. 

  • If you are making your way to the PGVIM, please show the PGVIM name card (available at your request from the registration desk) to the taxi driver, or call (+66) 2 447 8597, ext. 3102 for directions.

  • You’re recommended to download the Grab Application for convenience travel. Ask for more info from our team.

Laundry: 

 

  • You can leave your clothes at the hotel reception. The hotel staff will inform you when it is done.

Registration

  • The Opening Ceremony of the Symposium will be at 09:15 hrs on Wednesday 23rd August 2023 at PGVIM. You can register at the main foyer of the Galyanin Gitakara Building (C Building).
     

  • If you are joining us only on subsequent days, registration will be possible each morning from 09:00 - 09:30 hrs.
     

  • All symposium participants are welcome to attend our evening performance without any ticket required.

Presentation Information

  • Each Keynote & Plenary Session has a duration of 45 minutes, which is divided into 30 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A.
     

  • Each Paper Presentation has a duration of 30 minutes, which is divided into 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A.

Equipment

  • The institute will provide a computer with Keynote, Powerpoint and PDF reader programs, as well as an AV system for all presentations. You are also welcome to bring your laptop, and we encourage you to do so especially if you have special requirements for your media files or presentation program.
     

  • Please arrive at your presentation venue at least 30 minutes prior to your session in order to meet with your session moderator and set up your equipment.

  • PGVIM will record your session for educational and archival purposes.
