Performing artists Sineenadh Keitprapai, Annmanee Singhanart, and  Michael Hornblow, present a 40-minute site-specific performance centered around and through the historic Gita Rajanagarindra Building, in collaboration with PGVIM students. The building becomes a kind of time machine, a passage across past-present-future, between inside and outside. Motifs of movement, sound, and found objects evoke myriad historical transformations, from the rural origin of the area with the Bang Yi Khan community, a local alcohol factory, and now a museum for PGVIM. On the 10th anniversary of its renovation, when the building is raised on its foundation, the artists attempt to raise the building and its ghosts as an uplifting of many people. The PGVIM symposium themes are touched upon here and there – sustainability, the woman, accessibility – spectres of infrastructure as calls to action, the interior as womanly realm, with openings for students and audience members to contribute their experience. There is often a fear that the past fades away on sites such as these, but there are many layers carried in the land, in the body, in the voice, and in the singsong of buildings. All are a blur, never fading, calling on one another to refocus the core of our shared existence.
